       Hi Folks,
Another great night of music, fun and frolics which saw 5 new members join our ranks. We welcome Helen, Janice, Chis, Aileen and Aiman and hope to see you again at our next club night on the 22nd of August. We were entertained during the evening by a very talented gentleman called Christian who played us a number of George Formby classics with great flair and abilty. (It must run in the family!) and our thanks to Christian for making the evening go so well. Please come back soon......
We are again most greatful for the members contributions made to our raffle prizes and would ask you to please keep them coming as these help our club funds no end.
This Saturday 13/08/11 your IUC band will be perfroming at the Boughton Beerfest at the Flying Horse around 1 ish. Please come along and support your club band if you can and dont forget if you fancy taking your performing skills to a new level please speak to Dennis who runs the band and will be happy to discuss the idea further. Please also check out our "Planned Events" section over on the right and make a note of our forthcoming gigs. As a member of the IUC you are not only welcome but also encouraged to join us at any of these events so please check them out. One of our members Gwynfor is going into hospital this Thursday for a long awaited operation and all his friends at the club send their best wishes to him for a speedy recovery and we hope to see him and his good lady Hazel back with us very soon.
Last but not least, we need more members to step forward and play a more "active" role in managing our club and its many events planned for 2011 and 2012. We are very fortunate to have the generous sponsorship of Right Track Music Ashford who have donated to us all our sound equipment to enable us to take our club and its music to the general public and we in return have made the promise that we will provide RTM with a partnership that will not only enhaunce but contribute to their business where ever possible. Please pay Sue & Chris a visit to their shop in Tufton Street where you will find a great new range of quality Ukes at sensible prices and if you mention the IUC you will even recieve a 5% discount!
Within the IUC we have the skills, the equipment and the support to meet our club objectives and our aim now is to take IUC and the band to various charity events and gigs around the southeast and perform.  But we also need your help in a number of areas from finding and organizing these performances to helping out with the admin, setting up our sound system, transport and even performing so please give it some thought and let one of your founder members know if you are interested and would like to help.
Thats all for now and remember, this is your club and you can make all the difference.
Kind Regards
The IUC.
