Dear IUC Members,
The Invicta Ukulele Club is going on Tour.....One of our flock David Fourniller has recently taken over as licencee of The Rose & Crown Public House in the High Street, Elham, Kent, CT4 6TD which if you have never paid a visit is a large and very well known pub right in the centre of this lovely old Kentish village. David has great plans for this new venture and has asked the IUC to help him set up a regular "open mike" style of pub entertainment once a month in one of his large bars. Any form of live music entertainment is welcome and any kind of musical instrument can be brought along and played. All you need to do is put your name on the list when you arrive in order to book your turn on mike. No fees, no charges. Simply turn up, play and enjoy. The first of these events is planned to take place on Thursday 9th of Feb at 19.30 and will go on until he throws us out at around 23.00 and as part of the IUC family you and your family and friends are of course all invited to come along and be entertained in a nice warm, friendly and cosy old pub setting. Lets help David get this off the ground and make The Rose & Crown the regular "In place" for talented live music in Kent. See you there!
Thanks & Kind Regards,
John & IUC.
ps. these "Open Mike" sessions are being held in addition and are not replacing our regular club nights which are held every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at The Elwick. Jp.
