Dear Friend,
Thank you all for coming along last night and for your efforts at yet another great evening of music and fun with the IUC.

Is it me or are our sessions getting better and better each time?

We had 29 members in attendance and started off the evening with our Dennis and his new opening signature tune which everybody seemed to enjoy immensely and which will now open (and close) all our meets as we all agreed it brings us all nicely together at the start of our evenings. We also had some fantastic backing tracks produced for us by two very talented members Harry and Dennis which went down a storm and certainly lifted our voices and helped the half a dozen or so tunes so far recorded go with great gusto! These two fine gentlemen are now going to get together and produce and record some more tapes for us which will help make our playing and performing even better.
Also in attendance last night were 6 new members (who were not new for long) and we extend a warm IUC welcome to you all and hope you enjoyed our company as much as we did yours.
I think the idea of setting up two extra coaching groups is a good one and over the next couple of days I will be writing out inviting you all to join either our novice or our performing group for some extra practice sessions so please give it some thought which one you would like to join. Our David also needs to know if you are interested in joining us on a little road trip later on in the year to Blackpool where we intend to spend a couple of days at the George Formby Society annual conference. More details to follow but interested only names at this stage to David via the "contact us" link over there on the right hand side asap would be helpful please.
Finally, Our Sheila will be organising a montly raffle at our next meet on the 6th of June in order to generate some much needed club funds. Please have a rummage in your cupboards and drawers for that odd bottle of plonk that's been sitting there for years or for any old bars of gold that you no longer need as they would all make excellent prizes and should be passed onto Sheila for inclusion.
Once again on behalf of your founder members we thank you all for the splendid turn out and  we look forward to help you reach even greater heights in the weeks, months and years to come.
Kind Regards,
John.
ps, Have a look at some of the pics I took last night which can be found by clicking on the "Our Photos" tab over on the right hand side of this page.
